Albums Done in Both English and Spanish – Albums hechos en 2 versiones Inglés y Español

Since I am doing an album that has 2 versions, or basically 2 albums, one in English and the other in Spanish, I have been looking for other artists that have done the same thing, making an album in English and then later another version of the same album in Spanish, or vice-versa. I haven’t been able to find really many who have done this.

One example of this is an album that David Lee Roth did in 1986 “Eat ‘Em and Smile“. He later made a Spanish version “Sonrisa Salvaje“. Continue reading

Decisions about arrangements – Decisiones en los Arreglos

about arrangementsWhile making this album, sometimes a song would take a long time to record, arrange, edit, mix, produce, etc. This happened with the song “Transition”. It was one of the first songs that I recorded and I always found things to change or add in it while I was recording the other songs, Sometimes it’s a bad idea to want to make many arrangements, to be a perfectionist, or to try to include all of the ideas that you have when you think that they all can go well in the same song. In the end, you have to decide how to arrange all of the good ideas that you have and how to put them in the exact and precise places, without cramming all of the sounds together so that they don’t lose their essence.
